Art and Expression

Nathan Sawaya a Lego artist who identifies my Big Idea which is, art is a form of human expression and it can be represented as anything. He makes realistic subjects and fantasy subjects into LEGO sculptures what I consider to be art. Some of Sawaya's LEGO sculptures are not of art form and he clearly states that on his website of his gallery, by dividing up each subject matter in selective categories. I consider everything he created with LEGO's as a art form because art first comes from an idea and he expressed it with LEGO's. I really love all his work and I think this is an unusual phenomenal talent that will inspire many LEGO artist to come.I will use this artist as a example of different materials you can use to make art because most people think you have to use some type of art medium, but you don't it can be anything.

Pierre Beteille is Digital artist that uses Photoshop for his work. He does not consider himself an artist at all, he just enjoys using Photoshop and enhancing portraits of himself, also other photo's. Beteille work is not about Photoshop tutorials, its about him expressing him self with ideas he had for his Photoshop artwork. I consider him as an artist because some of his artwork really has meaning to it and it makes a statement; even if he didn't realize it at the time. Beteille is like many artist that have been discovered, they believed that they were just doing a technique, skill, talent, or something that they enjoy doing and don't consider their work as art. The Big Idea is, anyone can be an artist is just how you express yourself, showing creativity and doing what you do best; escalating your ideas to another level. I will use this artist to depict upon, what is an artist and who considers you an artist.
